Something I've wondered...

If the Tyrian Gods left Tyria after its creation and stuff some thousand years ago to go make more planets, how come they are still present in Tyria? Wouldn't it be hard to do that considering how far they possibly could be?|||Quote:

I think they left, but they left some of their power with the people. The Tyrian gods I suspect are able to influence from a distance, as Grenth does from his realm when people die, etc. We do see them return in forms of avatars every now and then, such during Wintersday, when

Spoiler

they appear to provide you knowledge in beating Abaddon in the GoM mission.|||the gods no longer have a physical presence in Tyria, residing in scenic hall of heroes, but they can affect it from afar through their avatars and other, subtler means.|||They don't appear in the Gate of Madness mission, those are their avatars.|||Hm?

So they don't have a direct influence at all? How does Favor of the Gods work then?

And if they don't have a direct influence at all that makes me question if they are truely gods at all. (of course, they prolly are I doubt ArenaNet would make conspiracy theories for their own gods they made. >_>;)|||Prince, you need to stick to PvP =P

The Favor of the Gods is dictated by the spirits of the Hall of Heroes who have teams of mortals play against each other for their own sick and twisted satisfaction. The Favor of the Gods is a misnomer as it is actually related to the gods, but rather to spirits in the Hall of Heroes.

And yes, ANet has plenty of conspiracy theories inspired by the gods, just look around the forums.|||Well I meant made by ArenaNet themselves.

My conspiracy theory is that they aren't really Gods at all, just super technologically advanced (so advanced they can create planets and have holographical representations of themself on Tyria!!) beings from another world.

Yeah.

It's so likely to happen.|||Please leave the Lore Forum and never return =P|||euhm. weren't the gods able to travel in time&space? And isn't written in the Manuscripts that they now reside in the Mists?! O.O|||It isn't directly stated where they are, all we know is that Lord Odran was able to go deep into the Mists and find them. Whether or not he came out onto another world, travelled back in time, or met them somewhere in the Mists themselves we don't know.
