a godly question

i just though about something after reading one of the many threads about gods here:

i belive that there are now (ofcourse) and always where only 6 gods.

now the only way that we know of to become gods is by "kormiring" (that should really be really called grenthing cause he was the first we know that have done it)

now that means that for every god there is a little fallen god the was there before him.

now the only problame here is meniez...

now i see one of 2 options:

1. balthazar became a god. meniez jelous (SP?) he does some ritual and becomes a semi-god.

2. balthazar parents were gods (wich kinda kills my theory) and for some reason meniez is only a semi-god (maybe because there can be only 6 gods at any given time!!!!)

what do you think?|||One would assume that since Kormir, once human, became a god, that it has been done in the past. Menzies is called Balthazar's half-brother, which means they share a parent. It could be that they were both mortal (not necessarily human) at one time, but Balthazar Kormir'ed (in which case it would really mean that Kormir Balthazar'ed:D) and Menzies became jealous, seeking to match and steal this power through earthly means.|||nubnub, I'd like to point out that in Pantheonic deity systems, half-brothers don't necessarily share a parent. There are some really odd geneses of gods in Greek and Roman systems.|||Don't bring up that old debate QA...lol

And Lyssa was two gods called Lyss and Lyssa, that makes 7 gods!

Why do those two facts have to be mutually exclusive? Firstly, i'd like to confirm that there WERE gods before our current pantheon. The Apostate tells us that. Secondly, i'd like to point out that there is nothing to say Menzies was ever a fully-fledged god, or even that he is now.

Quite simply, we don't know how a god ascends to godhood, other than Kormir, and even that's a little hazy. There could be multiple ways to "absorb" power, or the previous god-being might not have to be killed (ie Dhuum).
