-Livia decided to protect the people of Kryta no matter the cost. She concluded that it will take a common man decades of training to achieve the powers need to face monsters like of Mursaats, Shiro'kens and demons. Although humans can sometimes defeat these monsters though tactics and 3rd party assistant it is impossible to train up a standing army to face these threats. Mankind will need to obtain power by other means in order to survive.
-Livia started doing secret researches in necromancy, specially on the links between life and power. She finds the common ways of trading life for power to be extremely inefficient. The main reason is due to impurity of the "life", as most necromancers still rely on a normal food source. In order to improve the efficiency a necromancer must rely purely on the life force of others for survival. This way a necromancer can get a lot more power out of life to energy conversions.
-Livia and her fellow power mad necromancers started their secret training. Each day they consume less and less food and rely on sucking the life out of wild animals instead. Soon their spells and physical power grow ten-fold as fast as a normal human being. However the resources they consume also greatly increased. While a deer might feed a human for weeks, it will only feed a necromancer for a day since he only takes the life force away. Slowly the necromancers no longer hunger for normal food, but thirsts for life force only.
-Livia 's secret sociality remain unknown to the world until a group of them went to assist Ascalon in their battle against the Charr. The group's magical powers and strength was unmatchable. Just a hundred of them sends thousands of Charrs running at a time.
-Ascalonians welcomed these necromancers as heroes. However the battle have greatly increased their need for life. During the battle these was plenty of enemies to suck the life out off. But once the battle of over finding life to steal becomes a serious problem, since post seering Ascalon provides very little wild animal for hunting. Soon the thirst drives these necromancers insane, and they started attacking people in Ascalon.
-Livia was horrified by this turn of event. She went to Ascalon to confront these thirst driven necromancers, and thanks to the Scepter of Orr was able to scatter them. However she was deeply disappointed by her research. She and her followers went into hibernation exile, not to be seen again for a few hundred years. (They haven't aged a day since that time.)
-After Charr took over Ascalon, a horrific rumor about monsters attacking them at night time started. The name vampire was given to them due to their usage of skills similar to the common skill Vampiric Touch. However these happens so rarely that Charrs and humans alike consider them just urban legends.
Vampire's monster skill: Embrace of the Vampire
Skill: For 10 seconds, both you and target touched foe cannot move or use any skills. You gain +20 heath regeneration and +4 energy regeneration, while target foe suffers -10 health degeneration and -2 energy degeneration. Embrace of the Vampire ends if you suffer more than 150 damage during this skill or if you are knock-down. You can only use this skill against a foe who is not suffering this skill from another vampire.
