I was hugging walls for my Tyrian Cartographer Title in The Wilds mission when I found this:
It looks like an ancient court/assemble probably from the druids era
The something catch my eye
One of the symbol is clearly looking like a common fantasy dragon representation.
My brain wheels went into motion and I start thinking:
When an ancient dragon is resting, it's still emitting some kind of magical radiations (as Drakkar and the curse of the NornBear, Primordius statue which "practically bleeds magic").
Maguuma water has a magic ability of healing (Fount Of Maguuma).
So, is it possible that there is another dragon hidden somewhere deep in/under the jungle ?
Personally I'll really like not all the Ancient Dragons to be bad guys, as it's a bit clich to make a whole race bad/good
But I'll also dislike if the plot will be either
clich 1: to plea our cause to the White Dragon (whites one are almost always good ) and ask him to tell his brothers/sisters off.
or
clich 2 : The White Dragon control the Scrying Pool in EotN and will help us defeating the other Dragons.|||The Maguuma's Healing ability has been attributed to the Bloodstone before, since one of the Stones is the Bloodstone of Preservation and there's one in the Maguuma.
It is still possible there is a Dragon hidden somewhere in the Maguuma Jungle though.|||I think we need to be careful of approaching this dangeous line of "Everything is dragons". It is very much similar to the "everything is Mursaat" or "everything is Dhuum/Abaddon/Menzies" things we've gone through in the past. If the dragons are as big and powerful as we are being told, then the odds of their being many of them are extremely low. Sometimes things just have a rational explanation that isn't Dragon/Mursaat/Old God.|||Also note, that so far all the dragons (Exception with the off-map dragons like the Orr one) are pretty much identifiable (Primordus sticking out of stone, Grotham being a giant spiked back and Drakkar being frozen in the lake).
So judging with these, we'd have to find a giant dragon-looking Moss thing or something a like in the Jungle.

Iirc, there are pedestals similar to those in the Crystal Desert near Thirsty River. It can just be a Centaur gimmick, as both places have their own tribes/prides/packs/whatever they call em.|||If you're just out looking for Dragon depictions in Tyria... stop by Grenditch Courthouse near Ascalon City.
There are piller like objects with Dragons carve into the tops over what appear to be hollow tubes and some fairly bright fire...|||Just a thought to throw into the mix:
Do we have any idea where Ronan got the seed for the Sylvari's tree? If there is a Dragon (or if it's the Bloodstone's magic, or the Mursaat, etc, etc.), could the seed have come from around where those runes are found?|||Quote:

Which is just near Dragon Gullet
Always wonder what was the purpose of this region (something thats look like ruins of a necromancy place, a lake and... that's all).
I think Quintus is right and I probably looked for Dragonic influence a bit too much. Maybe the Preservation Bloodstone contaminated the water and symbols are just... FlameSeeker Prophecy, Centaurian Edition.
Or, this is way much older than it looks and it's something about dragons in a long forgotten language.
But that is just a collection of Or, If and Maybe
Grrrrr, having too wait 2 years more is just so frustrating |||Quote:

From the PCG GW2 article posted here http://www.pcgamer.com/archives/2007...-_ultimat.html:
Spoiler
This story began with a human soldier named Ronan whom, while separated from his patrol, discovered a cavern filled with strange seed-pods. This cavern was protected by terrible plant creatures, so he fled, clinging to a single seed to show his daughter when he returned home from war. But, upon his arrival, Ronan discovered the Mursaat had destroyed his village and murdered his family, leaving only ruined houses and mass graves. In agony, he planted the seed on their graves and swore never to return to battle.|||
Now THIS is a dragon.
Any relation with Guild Wars 2? Off course not... Don't be silly.|||Quote:
