- Vael
- Prince Rurik
- Elvis
- That fat guy in Istan
- E.T.
I'm pretty sure I'm close on my leads, but I might be wrong. Who do you think this stranger is?|||I doubt it was Vael, as he helps fight against the charr. He wouldn't want to cause chaos in the world.
The rest, I won't even mention -.-
When I first heard of the mysterious stranger wanting golems, I immediately thought of this guy. But we kill him and the M.O.X. thing takes place after the EN storyline, while the guy's death takes place during the EN storyline.
hmmm, I have a hope, that ANet will elaborate more on this mysterious stranger with more updates in the future. Afterall, they might add in 4 new heroes (although they claim that there are no current plans for new heroes). I smell a free mini expansion that is released slowly over-time.|||It's obviously something that has access to or knowledge of the location of a Bloodstone. Alongside this, it is known that it has something against all the human kingdoms of Tyria.
With that minor information known..I'll just say run with it. I have an idea of what it might be, but I'm not willing to state it as it will most likely influence others' ideas and the ensuing discussion.|||Er, all of those on my list were jokes They're obviously not the stranger. Personally I think it may be some kind of servant of one of the dragons. There isn't much to back this up, it's just that we have no other known enemies that would want the leaders of men dead.
Btw Leon, tell us what's on your mind. I doubt it would cause too much debate, and now you've peaked my curiosity.|||From all the information we're provided about the Ancient Dragons, there's nothing to indicate they have any interest in the affair of any particular race. That being the case, I doubt it would be a servant of any one dragon and it must also be mentioned that most of the inhabitants of Tyria know nothing of the existence of these Ancient Dragons.
Therefore, they haven't any supporters, worshipers, or followers.|||Quote:

Hmm, I did think that the Bloodstone was included somehow, but it never outright states that, unless I have missed something.

No other known enemies that would want the leaders of men dead? Dhuum. Menzies. Just as Abaddon wanted to create Chaos in the world, Dhuum and Menzies, who are still alive, very much wouldn't mind causing chaos.
And I don't think we should limit to just humans as targets, for all we know, this is the start of a chain that will be slowly added, as I said. Or, it could be the lead to one of the books. Who knows what the stranger will try next. Assassination of Pyre? or Mamp, Oola, and the other Asura elders? Ventari? or the Heroes themselves?
Hard to tell.
Edit:
@ Leon below: Technically, all/most possible assassinations that are in the game would fail because we would stop them. I never said the assassination would be successful.|||Even if the next target were Ventari, he wouldn't be killed by whatever it was sent after him. As we know in the Movement of the World, he dies peacefully.
It's not directly stated that the Bloodstones were involved, but it seems likely that the strange crystal given to Zinn may be from a Bloodstone.
Anyway, guys, I know the OP isn't serious, but that doesn't mean you should elaborate on it. The question posed is actually a bit serious; so instead posts should be following up on that with ideas as to who the stranger is.|||So far it's big grudge on the Humans.
If the Vabbian Princes, the Emperor and the future Queen Salma would be killed, chaos would spring among the humans and shouting it's the end of the world or something along those lines.
He must have a source to obtain these Power Crystals from and have a small knowledge about Golemancery.
So unless it was Zinn's intention to make the golems so strong, the crystal's main purpose was to override the command with "kill x" and power-up if that was the case.
Two of the golems also had control of other golems (Since Zinn states that R.O.X. had stolen them).
N.O.X. and P.O.X. were other commissioned works, but Zinn was forced to modify those as well.
So our mysterious stranger knew these two golems would be send to Cantha and Elona.
I think he's someone with an information network or something.. He knows too much.|||Quote:

P.O.X. uses Bloodstone Slash, which is also used by G.O.L.E.M. 1.0 and 2.0.
Since Zinn doesn't work with Oola, and only R.O.X. was given a custom Crystal (that we know of), that means that Zinn has access to Bloodstone crystals or that Zinn was given an additional Bloodstone crystal by "The Stranger" afterwards. Either way, it's then unlikely the original crystal put in R.O.X. was a Bloodstone one.|||Quote:

It was Lazarus! Oh my, and again, everything is Mursaat!
But seriously, why not?
Quote:
Accursed human! You have done this to me! I will not forget this! Countless generations will suffer for your actions this day!"
Taken from the Quest "The Justiciar's End".
And:
Quote:
R.O.X. appears fully deactivated. You reach out and open up his control panel. Inside lies the golem's power crystal. It emits a strange buzzing sound and vibrates erratically, almost as if something is trying to escape. This is the object Zinn requires. You only need to reach out and take it.
Taken from the M.O.X. quests.
This just remembers me of the idea that the Jade constructs are inhabitated by aspects of the Mursaat (there was a thread about this topic around here some time)...
We know the Mursaat can separate themselves into aspects, and hiding these aspects, for example, in the White Mantle followers. At least Lazarus could.
And if it's not powered by an aspect, it still can be powered by a soul. We know the Mursaat can store souls in Bloodstones... Soul Batteries, etc. ...
Just some thougts I wanted to share.
