Arborstone and Ascalon

[:1]Howcome there are architecture exatcly the same in Arborstone and Diessa lowlands area?

Im talking about the wiered isolated room in the lower left corner of arborstone, has a big round ornamented floor which is an exact copy of round ornamented floors in (I think its piken square).

Im just curious here. I could get screenshots but im too tired atm and thistime i know im not wrong xD the architecture and ornaments is too unique.

Sorry for the brief post|||That "rose compass" is found all over. Three with a unique design. Nolani outpost - the room with the teleporter at the end of the Surmia mission - and Arborstone.

It's probably just a re-use. Though the question stands why the unique design and not the one found all over the three games and even in the Realm of Torment itself.

No clue myself. And those pads are not really of my interest.

*hands the microphone over to Leon who has had an interest in thse pads for a long time*|||One of the easiest to observe is in the 'baby pvp' staging area in post searing Ascalon City.

I have theorized that they are teleportation pads, since magic is common and identical across Tyria, so are the workings needed to create a device for moving mass numbers of people, such as Rurik, mages and party in the Surmia mission. They might be very old and not necessarily belonging to the cultures around them and there is nothing to prove they are of human origin.

Hmm, was that vague enough?

Yeah.|||Kalidri, that's generally the theory that's been around here for quite some time. I was going to do some research on it and present a theory myself, but there's an old thread around here about it, basically coming to the conclusion that they are old teleportation pads used at one time. Obviously they have fallen out of use for some reason, but at one time, they were likely used very frequently.

I'm going to dig up the threads on the teleportation dials and the similarity in architecture between Ascalon and the Kurzicks, if I can find them.

Edit: Here's the teleportation thread.

And here's the architecture thread, which, apparently, was made by myself some time back.

Alright, considering there are already threads on this matter, I'm going to close this. If you would like to continue discussion on these matters, the links are there, and do feel free to post in them. Age is not a barrier for posting in threads here.
