Shadow army (humanoid units) > White Mantle

could it be that shadow army human units are fallen white mantle?

Shadow Monk: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Image:Shadow_Monk.jpg

White Mantle Priest: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Image:W...ntlePriest.jpg|||the developers just got lazy and gave things color changes and different names.|||Yep i think its that buit this is a lore forum so where gonna check if it is what karn says it is|||I think the Dev's told us a time ago that there's no connection between the Mantle and the Shadow Army, aside from re-using a model.

Can't find that source right now though.|||I always believed there was a connection, but can't find a convincing theory about it.

Now, what we can't think is that it was just copying and changing textures. If you believe that, you'll likely find a similar answer for everything in the lore forum, so just avoid it.|||the Shadow Army serves Mhenzies...

the White Mantle served the Mursaat until we defeated the Mursaat in prophecies, and probably don't even know about Mhenzies...

I doubt that Mhenzies has the ability to touch someone like Abaddon, and then force that someone to also serve him like the Lich, but then again, you never know the power of a fallen <key word: fallen, meaning lost his power> "god".|||maybe , he was the old ruler of The underworld, so he can be getting Power back an can take fallen soldiers with him if there standing in line for the underworld|||Quote:

That is DHUUM, Who Grenth kicked off the throne to claim Godhood from.

Menzies is just Balthazar's half-brother, a demi-god if you want to make it out solely by the two being blood related. Menzies might not even be a God in any way, he's just known as the "Lord of Destruction".

And don't bring up "but maybe he was the God before Dhuum!", because I doubt those two would work together with Abaddon if they had their own fight for Godhood against each other in the past.

Some of the speculation/posts going on here these day's are just tiresome.. /facepalm|||Quote:

Not exactly the way I would have put it, but yes for the most part I agree. So far there aren't any solid connections to be made or that have been made between the White Mantle and Shadow Army though.|||Quote:
