In the Bonus Mission Pack, we'll have the chance to take an active part in four famous, historical events- the Charr Invasion of Kryta, the Aftermath of the Searing, the Tengu Wars, and the Battle of Jahai. Due to other sources, we know quite a lot about each of these events, despite having never seen them up close. Well, just like in the "History's Greatest Villains" thread, recall what you know and see what fits in with these events, and make predictions regarding the missions-
*Naku the Necromancer took part in the Tengu Wars with his huge army of minions. Perhaps we will see the destruction of Kahnmaatu?
*Perhaps, during the Charr Invasion of Kryta, we will find out why the Mursaat hate the Charr Gods, the Titans? We know the Charr and the Mursaat will be meeting, after all... (Remember this could be down to nothing more than the Prophecy, which stated the Titans would destroy the Mursaat, but i doubt it personally).
*It's been annoying me for a while now- Charr General Bonfaaz Burntfur was not given enough fame in the Prophecies Campaign. Perhaps we'll see more of him during the Bonus Mission? <--- really wants to see Bonfaaz again.
*We meet several of Palawa Joko's most loyal ex-minions in the Desolation. Perhaps we will see them in all their glory during the Elonian Bonus Mission? (Think Kareh Ossa. Maybe we'll even get an explanation of the suspicious name).
* Saul D'Allessio himself was alive for most of the Charr VS White Mantle battle. Perhaps we'll even witness his ill-fated final skirmish.
* Palawa Joko was rumoured to have the undead Junundu wurms patrolling his kingdom. I know the battle will probably take place at Jahai, but i'd still like to see the old wurms again.
* When Palawa Joko took over Vabbi, what many do not know is that the Princes fled into the Hidden City of Ahdashim to hide, much like during Nightfall. I'd like to see them again, too.|||Saul's journey to Janthir! That would answer almost every theory on the Mursaat.
Lord Odran's trip through the Mists! Or Lord Odran himself!
The Old Gods and the Forgotten (plus unknown other allies, perhaps the Mursaat) versus Abaddon and the Margonites at the Exodus.
And of course, the Guild Wars.|||Quote:

Funny how the game's namesake is a relatively minor plot point compared to everything else we've seen. Even ANet doesn't seem to find it important enough to contain within their first bonus mission pack.
I, for one, would also like to see the battle with Abaddon and his minions, as well as his defeat at the Mouth of Torment. Perhaps we'll see it in a future bonus pack.|||One thing that's always bothered me about Palawa Joko... all undead have a master, or someone that animated them. Who animated Joko?
Maybe we'll get to find out |||Quote:

It's possible that Palawa Joko's power was earned through a situation similar to the Lich Lord's. In fact, they appear to be very similar in abilities as well. They're both necromancers, and both are impossible to kill (unless they are killed atop a Bloodstone).
I might go so far as to suggest that Palawa Joko's equivalent of the Cataclysm was turning the Desolation into a sulfurous wasteland. We know that the sulfur existed by the time he became an undead lord (see the Gate of Desolation intro cinematic for proof), and we also know that, prior to his rise, human settlements existed in the Desolation (Morah and Sahlahja). Obviously such settlements wouldn't have existed if a toxic sulfurous haze surrounded them and blocked access to food and other supplies. Since King Sahlahjar was still alive when Palawa Joko took over, then this seems to imply the Desolation's sulfur did not appear until during Palawa's reign.|||Quote:

His minions aren't animated (like bone horrors) they are Undead, like Orrians. I'd be willing to bet Dhuum may have been behind it, or some other powerful entity like that. His Undead are smarter and better organized than the Orrian Undead, and have free will. The magic that caused the Cataclysm only resulted in zombies with a shadow instinct based on their lives.
It's also hinted that Orr and The First City are connected somehow. Bahltek even mentions scrolls beneath it. Perhaps something similar to the scroll of Orr was there.|||I always assumed Bahltek was speaking about the Scroll of the Apocrypha, which General Kahyet fetches, but now i'm not so sure, remembering what the Vabbian Scholars say about those places being linked... especially since we know Orr had secret scrolls in its catacombs.|||Quote:

Remember that the Scroll of the Apocrypha was also a scroll of Abaddon, just like the one the Vizier used to cause the Cataclysm. So at the very least the First City had one scroll of the Gods. Where there's one, there are probably more I would think.
Maybe the scholars were transfering scrolls from one city to the next as either religious artifacts or subjects of academic research, possibly even transcribing the originals and bringing copies back home from the City of the Gods. In any event it seems safe to say that there is proof that each ancient city held scrolls containing (un)holy information.
