Dwarves and Dragons

[:1]So in the Guild Wars 2 trailer, the narrator says that Zhaitan was known in dwarven legends. The dwarves also obviously knew about Primordus in a way through their other legends. I wonder if in EotN we lost the most knowledgable non-dragon race in how to combat the elder dragons. Could the dwarves have been the reason the dragons went in slumber in the first place? Were they truly a race created as a weapon, and then who was the Great Dwarf, really? Did Tyria itself create the dwarves as weapons against the dragons?

I was most interested in what happened to the Mursaat in GW2, but the dwarves keep getting more interesting...|||Well the Dwarves were one of the oldest races on Tyria, and should have a lot of knowledge.

I hope the Norn and Humans have found many dwarven history books after visiting the abandoned towns, so we can look deeper into this.|||The focus seems to be more on Zhaitan than Primordus with all the new info released..|||Quote:

Primordus may be the Big Boss, and thus reserved for last.

Tyria: kill Zhaitan and probably Drakkar

Cantha: Take out whatever Dragon settled there

Elona: Take down Grothmar (assumed to be Desert Dragon)

EotN: Kill Primordus who used Rebirth on all previous Dragons for the lolz.

Could be completely off though|||Quote:

That gave me a huge flashback to megaman.

Level 1: Kill Leaf boss.

Level 2: Kill Fire boss.

Level 3: Kill Water boss.

Level 4: Kill Electronic boss.

End level: First kill all previous bosses (for no apparent reason), then kill huge multi-stage endboss.

That'd be awesome.|||I do believe I remember, from that PCGamer magazine 2 years ago, some mention of a dragon (Water?) that awoke and flew south scorching everything in its path. Maybe it settled in Cantha, which is south of Tyria.|||Whoa, I didn't think about this before.

Glint and some dwarves created the Brotherhood of the Dragon. She chose humans to carry out the Flameseeker Prophecies, allegedly, but she really allied with the dwarves, who came to her aid in EotN. Which is perhaps why Destroyers were sent after Glint's brood... she might have allied with the very weapons that took the Elder Dragons down so long ago!|||Quote:

An interview says that initially, we'll kill off one dragon, while the other dragons will be fightable.

It seems that Zhaitan will be the one to kill.

It settled in the northern Crystal Desert. It's nicknamed "Grothmar" and is only called the "Water Dragon" due to the concept art which looks like an island in the middle of the sea. It is also known as the "Desert Dragon" (confirmed this via the Movement saying the Charr fight the Desert Dragon's minions in the Charr Homelands).|||Quote:

Its interesting you mention Cantha with nothing. According to the Movement of the world article, knowledge of Cantha has been erased. Its as if ArenaNet dont want it in the game. Its a shame, because it was called the Dragon empire, so they could have made up that a dragon was the actual nation, or something like that. However, i did think i was some luxon boats on the jade sea in the trailer, but that was the only Canthan reference i saw.|||Cantha is the Empire of the Dragon, so I am already suspicious of them.
